Why didn’t Auto Sync run when I expected?

iOS decides whether and when Auto Sync runs, so it may run later or skip a requested time.

Timing and notifications

SyncFlow requests background sync around these six times; iOS decides whether and when it runs.

  • Around 3:00
  • Around 7:00
  • Around 11:00
  • Around 15:00
  • Around 19:00
  • Around 23:00

You get a notification only when Auto Sync writes new data. Otherwise, check Sync History.

If something goes wrong

  • If you swipe SyncFlow away from the recent apps screen, Auto Sync stops until you open it again. Leave the app in the background.
  • Not starting: open the app once and check iPhone Settings → General → Background App Refresh.
  • If Sync History shows a failure, use Manual Sync with an internet connection. Follow prompts to sign in again or allow Apple Health access. If failures continue, contact support in the app.
  • No notification: check the result in Sync History, then check notification settings in the app and on your iPhone.
